Panda Cloud Antivirus works using 'the cloud'
The interface in Panda Cloud Antivirus is somewhat basic
This somewhat unique antivirus software works by doing a lot of its ‘grunt work' in the cloud, freeing up system resources and hopefully not slowing down your computer too much.
Cloud software works by completing some of its functions online, so while the software is installed on your computer, it uses the cloud to carry out some of the tasks that are required of it.
It's an interesting idea, and it certainly seems to work. While running it on our computer we didn't notice any major slowdown when running a scan using the software. The interface is somewhat basic, but everything is clear enough and easy to access and understand.
There options for a quick scan or a full scan, a page that displays what has been detected on your system and a large status icon to let you know the ‘health' of your computer.
This are all standard features, but Panda Cloud Antivirus does suffer from not having a more comprehensive set of features.
A particularly glaring omission is a scheduler to automatically scan your system on a daily or weekly basis. Put simply, there are better options available (such as Windows Defender or Avast) that are also free.
