Combine two images from an ordinary camera to make a 3D image
Make 3D images from ordinary photographs with StereoPhoto Maker
There's no need to spend any money to make 3D images. StereoPhoto maker can take two ordinary photographs and convert them into a 3D image using either anaglyph or several other different 3D technologies.
Anaglyph has the big advantage that you won't need to buy a new monitor, just a pair of glasses with coloured lenses, often costing less than £5.
No installation is necessary, simply uncompress the download and run the program from there.
The software is easier to use than it first looks. The interface is a little basic and there are no wizards. Open two images using the File menu and there is a button to automatically create a 3D image. Most of the time the results of this tool are very good and no extra tweaks were needed.
If you do want to adjust the image there are lots of options to change to get the image just right and they all happen in real time. There is a line mode that helps with getting the alignment just right.
