Stay up to date with events and tasks using Rainlendar
Rainlendar is a calendar app that sits on the Windows Desktop
Many calendar programs can get rather complicated. No so Rainlendar, which is simple to use and helps track both events and tasks.
Installation is simple and Rainlendar will start automatically with Windows. We're not normally in favour of software doing this but calendar programs are the exception to this rule.
It lives on the Desktop with no Taskbar icon to get in the way. It has an icon in the Notification Area, which is a much better place for it.
Events can be set up in quite a lot of detail and they can be set to repeat at set intervals. A nice touch is the option to set exception dates when the event won't repeat, which is useful for holidays.
Alarms can be set for events that appear on the desktop and can be snoozed if you need more time.
Tasks can also be created with a surprising level of detail. They can be set as in progress and this is shown with a coloured bar behind the task name. Again this is a subtle but effective tools.
There are two skins for Rainlendar and there are more available online.
Hotkeys can also be created for creating events and tasks.
Rainlendar is a great calendar app.
