Keep your life organised with Colornote Notepad

ColorNote Notepad Notes is one of the best notepad apps for Android smartphones and has lots of useful extra features.

A free download from the official Android Market, this is primarially an application for creating quick notes and to do lists, but there are some other useful features too.

Creating new notes is simple and the interface is clear with large, easy-to-press buttons for all the most important tasks. Standard notes are created using a simple text editor, while checklists can be ticked off as individual tasks are completed.

There is also a calendar, so specific notes can be attached to specific days. Alarm reminders can also be set to further jog your memory.

The ability to organise notes by colour is useful and adding sticky note 'widgets' to the homescreens is a good way to highlight important or common tasks. Notes can also be password-protected for extra security.

Really good Android apps can be hard to track down and this one is a must for all Android owners.
