This free to download Android application is a handy way of finding out about films, both old and new
The IMDb app for Android is available for smartphones and tablets
IMDb is a good website for finding out details of films both old and new. Countless ‘was that person also in?' discussions can be resolved by checking the details on IMDb, but it also has lots of other features. The Android application is a mini version of the website, with easy to navigate menus and an attractive interface.
For starters this gives you a comprehensive movie and TV database in your pocket, but also information on local film listings based on your current location.
The app is free to download from the Android Market and it worked very well on our Samsung Galaxy S2. As well as film and TV information, there is also entertainment news and reviews from critics.
People with Android tablets running version 3.0 (Honeycomb) can download a special version of the IMDb apps designed speficially for tablets.
As a quick and easy way to find out film facts, trivia and listings, the IMDb app for Android is hard to beat.
