Never be stuck when converting units of measurement with Convert

Working out the equivalents for different measurements is often annoying.

Many modern phones now come with small apps for this task but that's hardly a convenient option when you're working on the computer. Convert is a simple program that can convert between a huge variety of units.

No installation is required. The download is a simple compressed folder with just two files, one of which is the Readme file. Convert can be run from the compressed folder as it is completely self-contained but it is more convenient to extract it to a folder. The only hassle here is that you will have to create your own shortcuts for it in the Start Menu or Desktop.

We found Convert very simple to use. Select the kind of measurement in the tabs at the top, click on the a unit in the input and output section and enter a number in the Input text field.

The calculations are performed as soon as figures are entered. There are commands in the options menu to switch the input and output units around and to copy the converted figure into the clipboard.

There are so many category tabs (22, in fact) that Convert can get a little overwhelming. Luckily it is possible to deselect tabs in the Options window so it all gets more manageable.
