A fun, if rather short, Moshi Monsters game for the iPad
Help Buster find his Moshling pets
Moshi Monsters probably needs no introduction if you're a parent. Either your children have an account or they're still trying to convince you to sign up. Buster's Lost Moshlings is a cheap game for the iPad in which your children must find his pet Moshlings before they are glumped by the evil Dr StrangeGlove.
The game is simple to play. There are six levels and each must be completed before moving onto the next. Each level must be played in three different modes: Tracker, Explorer and Time. The Tracker level offers some help if you get stuck and the Time Challenge gives 100 seconds to find the Moshlings.
The exact places where the Moshlings are hiding change every time a level is started but as an adult it's not too hard to start to recognise the hiding places.
The graphics are very good, which probably explains the hefty 231MB download required to play the game. Don't try that over the GSM network, though – it's strictly Wifi only.
Although it does only cost 69p it is over quite quickly. Our six year old tester went through the entire game in maybe a couple of hours without too much help. Even with the random element of the levels, there probably isn't going to be that much interest in playing the game again.
There is also no link to the online game. It would be a nice bonus if you could earn the in game currency, Rox, and upload them to use online.
There is a Moshling Zoo where you can view the discovered pets and this also links to a trophy cabinet.
