A simple to play game that is fiendishly addictive
Ever wanted to take a cow into space?
Since fruit flies were sent into space in 1947, man has long dreamed of sending bigger, more elaborate animals to the stars. Then, in 1971, the pinnacle of space exploration was reached when Alan Shepard played golf on the Moon.
But now, with little more than an Android phone and a cunning slant of the wrist, you can propel a cow into space.
Abduction! comes in two versions, a free one with limited features and a paid-for version that costs £1.29.
Our focus here is the free version, which has plenty to keep you entertained. The premise of the game is simple: bounce a cow from platform to platform picking up power-ups on the way while avoiding falling bombs. Fall off the bottom of the screen and the cow dies.
The Quick Game modes are split into different difficultly levels; kids, easy, medium, hard, infinite and evil infinite. The latter two are levels that never end, with a limitless supply of platforms and no ending. Approach these at your peril as what starts off as a ‘quick five minutes' soon becomes an hour long battle to beat a high score.
Like a lot of Android games, Abduction! is simple, enjoyable and very addictive.
