The new Facebook application for Android phones has seen some much needed improvements, making it easier to navigate and more pleasing on the eye.
Previous attempts by Facebook to make an app for Android devices have been woeful. While they were plagued by fiddly menus, crashing and illogical layouts, this latest version is a pleasure to use.
On first install the app offers a guided tour around some of the new features and with this completed it opens up the news feed. Liking posts and adding comments is easier than before and the app also supports the new Timeline feature.
Options for sending messages and viewing profiles are easy to find and navigating around the app feels slicker than before. It is also more stable; while in the past Facebook apps for Android had a nasty habit of crashing, this latest versions is far less susceptible.
It is goodto see the Android Facebook app finally getting some major improvements and this latest version looks better than before and is simpler to use.
