Teamviewer enables you to control a PC from a tablet or phone
Taking control of someone's computer on an Android smartphone might sound odd, but that's exactly what this app lets you do.
Once downloaded, the first task is to enter the session number and password for the computer you want to control. This information will be provided by the Teamviewer window on the computer you wish to access.You can download Teamviewer for Windows here.

A selection of tips is displayed when the connection is made, explaining how to control a Windows PC using an Android phone. The next screen displayed the screen of the computer we were remotely controlling.
It was a smooth process on our Samsung Galaxy SII test handset, but slower devices with smaller screens will suffer. Even on the large screen of the SII it was a bit of a struggle.
For basic tasks such as navigating around menus the app is fine, but entering text or performing more complex and fiddly functions was a hassle. The app is certainly capable, but Windows becomes unwieldy when shrunk down onto such a small touchscreen device.
It certainly gave us complete control of the Windows computer, so resolving basic technical issues was easily possible. There was even support for dual monitors. Another option allows the app to display two cursors, which can be helpful when explaining specific problems. The resolution and quality of the image can also be improved or decreased depending on preference.
