Block inappropriate and adult content with this replacement browser for iOS
The Kaspersky Safe Browser didn't do everything it claimed it could
Protecting children from the evils of the internet when they use an iPad or an iPhone is hugely important. With that in mind the Kaspersky Safe Browser is a replacement web browser for iOS with a strong focus on restricting access to certain websites.
Once installed there was an end user licence agreement to accept. The welcome screen explained what the app does and also detailed how to use the Restrictions menu in iOS to disable access to certain features.

The Kaspersky Safe Browser works much like any other iOS browser – except it will block access to anything it deems unsuitable for children. So typing the address of a porn website into the address bar will display a message explaining the website is blocked.
Similarly a Google search for ‘boobs' resulted in no web pages being found. When we directly typed in the name of a pornography website the browser blocked it.
But it isn't as comprehensive as it claims – while it blocked us logging into our Gmail account the first time, a quick tap of the back button and another request to load the page saw us granted access to our inbox.
While it is capable of blocking adult content, Kaspersky Safe Browser wasn't as proficient as it should be.
