Super Penguins is a free and fun game that's easy to pick up but rather harder to put down. Your penguin must travel along a road to rescue it's friends avoiding obstacles and the evil octopuses that took them hostage in the first place.

Getting started is easy. There is a single penguin to choose and you can get started. The penguin can be steered left and right by tilting the device and this allows you to vary the speed that you turn. Some obstacles must be jumped by tapping the screen.

When you run into a trapped penguin, they are freed and you receive some kind of power up. Sometimes this is invincibility or a rocket that advances you through the course without risk.

As you go, you can also pick up fish that can be traded in for ways to make the game easier. Some upgrades only last for the next game such as stopping the octopuses from obscuring your view with in or adding an extra life, but there are permanent upgrades as well.

Enough fish can be used to unlock new characters to play the game with but apart from the first change, these characters are very expensive.

It won't come as any surprise that you can buy more fish with real money. It really depends on how patient you are, or how vocal younger players are. One extra penguin can be added by Liking the game on Facebook.

As is very common with games, there are many different achievements to be won by collecting impressive numbers of fish or surviving long enough.

It also rewards you for playing every day with increasing number of fish awarded.
