People can also edit their photos directly on the frame
Sony has launched a range of digital photo frames, which are said to display images in high-definition (HD) quality.
Images can be transfered directly to The X and V Series S-Frames from a PC, using the supplied USB cable, or through the SD card slot.
They have an auto-orientation sensor that automatically flips images to portrait or landscape modes, and an alarm clock feature, which lets users wake up to their favourite pictures.
Image problems such as red-eye, soft focus and skin blemishes can be edited on the frame by using the Bionz image processor, and slideshow modes created by date.
Calendars with chosen pictures can be designed for each month.
The X Series frames have 2GB memory, which can store up to 4,000 photos, and an LCD, which is said to reduce glare.
The S-Frames will be available from April 2009. Prices will be announced in the next few weeks.
