Band teams up with Google Earth to let people upload videos or photos for next music video
The Chemical Brothers are giving fans the opportunity to make a video for the band's upcoming single, Midnight Madness.
The Midnight Madness global video project is asking fans to make a short clip from two to 20 seconds or take a photograph of the odd things that people get up to at the midnight hour in their area.
They can then upload it to Google Earth via the Chemical Brothers website and tag where the video or photo was shot.
The best submissions will be edited and used for the band's music video.
They will also be shown on the Chemical Brothers' Youtube channel.
People who do not see themselves as budding filmmakers can still get involved with the project by tagging and launching their favourite Chemical Brothers track on Google Earth. This lets any fans passing their area on Google Earth maps to listen to the song.
The deadline for video and photograph submissions is 1pm on 25 August 2008.
