Playstation 3 triple-pack goes on sale on June 25
People with Playstation3 games consoles are being encouraged to buy a triple-pack of recent titles with part of the proceeds going to charity Gamesaid.
The pack contains Tomb Raider: Underworld, Sega Superstars Tennis and racing game Fuel can be bought at the suggested retail price of£30. At least half of the money raised will be sent to Gamesaid, which will distribute it to various charities.
Gamesaid is supported by people and companies in the games industry. Each year six charities that work with children and young people are picked to be beneficiaries of Gamesaid fundraising drives.
The organisation hopes to raise at least £500,000 from the packs, which go on sale on June 25, in the high-street and online.
The charity beneficiaries for this year are currently under discussion, but full details will appear later in the year on the Gamesaid website.
A representative of Gamesaid told Computeractive that similar events and packs are planned for the future, adding that “we want it to be good value for the gamer; we don’t want to just throw something out there”.
