Fair Internet launches cheaper texts abroad

International SMS, picture messaging, email and instant messaging bundle made available

Fair Internet has launched a mobile phone package that lets people abroad send text messages for 10p.

Blitzplanet bundles international SMS, picture messaging, email and instant messaging in one program and can be downloaded for free onto any web compatible mobile phone.

It sends SMS via an internet connection, meaning users will only pay 10p rather than the standard 30-50p many service providers charge.

In addition, customers can also send emails and attachments direct from their mobile phones straight into a recipient's PC inbox without having to go via their service provider’s interface. Instant messages and pictures can also be sent, but only to other Blitz users.

In order to use the SMS service users must first register for a free account, which can then be used to credit their Blitzcard account with a minimum of £5. Those choosing non-SMS options, such as instant messaging, will be charged £1 per month. Credit lasts for up to three years from the time of purchase.
