Hackers give Crawley drivers unsavoury advice
Drivers in Crawley, West Sussex, got a shock one morning last week, after digital signs for car parks in the town told them to "F*** Off".
The computer system controlling the signs had been hacked, and instead of giving details on the number of spaces available in four of the town’s car parks, they’d been changed to the less-than-subtle message. It was displayed on all the town’s similar car park signs.
According to The Argus local newspaper, no complaints were received about the messages. A council spokeswoman told the paper: “If hackers can get into Pentagon computers then I am sure they would have no problem with ours.”
