Web hosting company gives home users way to build their own site
Internet hosting company 1&1 is offering new users of its Home package free web hosting for six months when they sign up to 12-month contract.
The 1 &1 Home package is aimed at consumers and offers the necessary tools to create, maintain and build a website and a .uk domain.
The offer is available until 31 October and users will have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months and pay a one-off set-up fee of £5. After the initial free period is over, the package will cost £6 inc Vat a month.
Also included in the six months free offer is access to the 1&1 Home eShop. Aimed at "small-to medium-sized business and private users" it offers users a number of features including Ebay integration, a shop designer and ways of managing payment, shipping and incoming orders.
