The first 150,000 O2 iphone users to apply to the network provider are being offered a free three month trial of Sky mobile TV application.

The app gives users a life feed of content from Sky channels such as Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3, plus Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Extra and Sky news. Other channels that can be access via wi fi include At The Races and ESPN.

iPhone customers on O2 can apply for the trial for the service, which normally costs £6 a month, by sending a text to ‘’SKY’’ to download a promotional code which allows them to receive the app for free for the first three months.

O2 will also be refreshing its free My O2 application later this month. An extension of the My O2 section of o2.co.uk, users can find a range of information about their mobile phone tariff, including remaining allowances, calling plan prices, Bolt Ons and even iPhone tips.

Pay Monthly customers can also view their recent charges, bill amount and bill summary. The app will be extended to those customers who manage more than one mobile number on their account, allowing them to check the usage of up to three numbers
