...but next year's launch will see it lag behind O2 and Orange
Vodafone has announced that it will soon be the third UK mobile phone network to sell Apple's iPhone range.
In a brief statement, the company said it would "bring iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to the UK and Ireland in early 2010". It has not released any information on how much the phones will cost or an exact launch date.
Yesterday Orange announced that it would start selling the handsets later this year, ending two years during which they were only available through O2.
Of the major mobile networks this leaves only T-Mobile and 3 without the iPhone. T-Mobile and Orange are planning to merge in the UK.
