Whether you're a home worker selling handmade quilts and garden gnomes or involved in a more traditional small business, British Telecom has a new scheme which promises to make staking your claim to a piece of online real estate easier and cheaper than ever before. BTClick for business is the unlikely name of a portfolio of web services, many of which are being offered completely free by the telecoms giant in an attempt to seduce more small business users online.
Small offices and home offices are being targeted by BT to deal with the low level of internet take up in that sector - surveys show that around two thirds of all small businesses have no presence on the web.
As well as the standard email and internet access services, BTClick for business provides free web space, site design tools and a range of guidance and advice on doing business online. The whole package is designed to cut through the barriers reported by many small businesses of perceived cost and complexity. For full details, contact BT on 0800 800001.
