More memory to store files
Verbatim has launched a portable 12GB USB2 HD drive.
The Store ’n’ Go USB 2.0 HD Drive claims to store nearly eight hours of Mpeg1 video, 3,000 hours of mp3 music - based upon an average file size of 4MB - and around 6,000 300dpi colour photos.
It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista as well as Mac OS 10 X and above and Linux 2.40 and above.
As well as giving users the option of storing files via the drag-and-drop method, the drive also comes preloaded with the Mobile Launchpad software which allows users to download applications for running directly from the USB HD disc.
The Store ’n’ Go USB 2.0 HD comes with a protective pouch, USB extension cable and a quick-start guide and costs £100.
