Packard Bell and Intel have launched a competition to find their first international gaming champion.

The first International Gaming Championship will take place in Lisbon in July and will invite UK gamers and their clans – friends they play against and with - to compete against those from nine other countries.

These include Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, the Nordic countries, Switzerland and South Africa.

To get to the finals, UK competitors must beat others in games such as racing and sports in the UK heats. These will take place at the Packard Bell stand at the Multiplay i30 LAN event at Newbury Racecourse over the Easter weekend.

The winners of the heat will be given a year’s free BT broadband subscription and their flights to Lisbon.
