Second life residence to buy noses in virtual world
Second Life gamers won't have to tear themselves away from it to support Red Nose Day.
Second Life, based around a 3D virtual world which is entirely built and owned by its residents, has been hosting a red nose event since 7 March.
The event gives users the chance to buy a red nose or red nose t-shirt for their characters to wear.
The T-shirts which come in red for girls and white for men, along with the nose, can be bought by clicking on specially created RND07 vending machines which have been placed in shops in the 3D world.
They will be priced 550 Linden Dollars, Second Life's monetary currency. Of this, £1 in real money will go directly to Comic Relief to help the poor in Africa and the UK.
