D-Link has launched a range of wireless router starter kits.

The DKT-710 wireless G and DKT-810 wireless N ADSL2+ modem router starter kit have been developed for both first-time adopters of wireless and those wishing to use the new wireless N standard.

The DKT-710 uses the wireless G standard. It comes with a DSL-2640B ADSL2+ Modem/Router and DWA-111 USB 2.0 mini adapter, and offers a maximum wireless signal rate of 54 Mbytes/sec.

For those looking to connect to the wireless N standard the DKT-810 Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router Starter Kit is based on 802.11n standard and comes with a DSL-2740B ADSL2+ Modem/Router and USB2 mini adapter.

It offers a maximum wireless signal rate of 270Mbytes/sec for bandwidth-hungry applications such as high-definition video streaming and media downloads and is covered by D-Link’s wireless N 11-year warranty.

Both routers can also be used on any ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+ type of internet connection, as they both have a modem built-in. They also have in built security features to prevent unauthorised access to the network and also come with D-Link’s Click n Connect wizard, which claims to have users set up and running “within minutes”.

The DKT-810 ADSL2+ Modem Router Wireless N Starter Kit and the DKT-710 ADSL2+ Modem Router Wireless G starter kits are priced at £159.99 and £59.99 respectively.
