Two models included in HP's new "premium notebook" range
HP has launched a new range of notebook computers designed to challenge Apple's Macbook products.
The new Envy models have a chassis made from magnesium and aluminium and a raised keypad that look strikingly similar to Apple's latest Macbook Pro range.
The Envy 13 has a 13.3in screen that the company claims is "twice as bright as other notebooks in its class". It uses an Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor, and has 3GB of memory installed.
An external "slice" battery is included as standard. This clips to the bottom of the laptop, extending its battery life from seven hours to 18 hours. An external optical disc drive is also included.
The Envy 15 model has a 15.6in display and uses an Intel Core i7 processor. It also includes a "night vision" webcam with infra-red illumination for use in low light.
Both models will be available from October 22nd - the launch date for the Windows 7 operating system. The Envy 13 will cost £1499, with the Envy 15 slightly cheaper at £1199.

HP Envy
It is easy to copy someone else's ideas when they have done all the hard work. Anyway Apple is far superior to HP and from my few encounters with HP equipment they are nothing but cheap trouble.
