Animal rights workers chase Youtube mouse biter

Video of man biting mouse's head off seen by 2,000 people

A Northern Ireland man is being hunted by officials from an animal welfare group after a video of him biting the head off a live mouse appeared on Youtube.

The video, which has been seen by over 2,000 people, shows a party, believed to be in an area of west Belfast. The man can be seen drinking beer and then biting the head of the animal, chewing it and spitting it out. He is referred to as Johnny in the clip.

The Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said it is hopeful that it can track the man down. A representative said members of the society were alarmed by the number of incidents it had been asked to look at on the internet over the past year that invovled animals.
