Sports fanatics given the chance to share information and view user-generated content online
A social site for players of grassroots sports has been launched.
isporty gives people the opportunity to talk online to other players about local, national and international sports they play and share information on the clubs they support.
The site, which is free to sign up to, also enables people at any level to learn more about the grassroots sports they play. It offers members interactive content, such as the latest news, videos, photos and podcasts for every sport.
Users will also be able to watch the best and worst in sports through the site's online sports channel, which will create content through mash-ups with Youtube, flickr, Google , iTunes Music Store and Yahoo as well as the BBC and other specialist sources.
These will be presented by Gary Newbon, Rebecca Lowe (from BBC's Match Of The Day) and Jo Ankier (the UK's top 3,000m steeplechase athlete).
Members will also be able to read daily blogs from a team of 40 journalists on the best of the British sporting media.
