Latest version fixes several security problems
The Mozilla Corporation is recommending that users upgrade to the latest versions of its Firefox web browser and Thunderbird email program to avoid failing foul of security problems.
Some versions of the programs will update automatically but users should check that they are running version 1.5.0.4 of both by clicking on the About... entry in the Help menu.
Firefox 1.5.0.4 should be more stable than previous versions and stops a variety of methods that hackers could use to gain access to a computer. Some of these are linked to the use of Javascript in web pages and emails
Thunderbird uses much of the same programming code as Firefox, so the fixes have been applied to both, although in separate updates.
