Would you like a ringtone with your £10 sir?
Bank customers will soon be able to use a cash machine to download music, order flowers and top up their mobile phones.
Using the Bank Machine Max Box, a free standing, wireless broadband kiosk, customers will be able to buy a range of services. This includes downloading games and mobile ring tones, which will then be sent to them via their phone's bluetooth connection or as an MMS message, or ordering flowers through the wireless internet feature.
In addition, customers can view pictures from an SD memory card which can be printed at the kiosk or sent to a home address, and play interactive games over the internet.
The first Bank Machine Max Box will be launched in the UK within the next few months, and located in public places, such as train stations, leisure centres, colleges and pubs.
Prices for services have not yet been disclosed, but Max Box has said that any charges will be “competitive”.
