Panasonic has launched two new cameras that it says will make it easier for consumers to take professional-looking shots of moving subjects.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC FX37 is a 10.1-megapixel camera with a 5x optical zoom lens while the FX150 offers 14.7-megapixels and has a 2.7-inch viewing screen.

Both have a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, which lets people take pictures in widescreen.

They also have Panasonic’s iA (intelligent auto) mode, which reduces blurring by automatically tracking the subject, even if it is moving around. Both also have enhanced face detection technology, which detetcts and focuses on faces even if they are moving or turned away from the camera.

Users can also use the Transform mode, available on both cameras, to add features such as hats or lips to a person in the shot for comic effect.

The DMC FX37 costs £250 and the FX150 £300. Both cameras will be available from August.
