Three new models with up to six hours' battery life, widescreen displays and 3D graphics
Samsung has announced three new entertainment laptops as part of its new Q-Series range.
The Q530 and Q430 come with 15.6in and 14in widescreen displays respectively, while the more portable Q330 has a 13.3in screen. With all three, buyers have a choice of Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors.
Both the Q530 and Q430 have onboard Nvidia Geforce GT 330M graphics, which should be capable of running the latest games. The Q330 uses a less powerful Geforce 310M graphics card that can be turned off when not needed to improve battery life, with the laptop instead using the onboard Intel graphics.
According to Samsung, the Q-Series laptops will provide either six or seven hours of battery life, depending on the size of the battery, and will weigh between 1.97 and 2.39kg.
Samsung will include additional software to lengthen the battery life, as well as Samsung All Share software, which lets users easily share pictures and videos with other Samsung devices, as well as set up ad-hoc wireless connections, where files can be transferred over a wireless network without the need for a router.
