A social networking site which uses images to decipher a person’s character and create a profile for them has been launched.

Imagini has been developed with the assistance of physiologists and determines a user's profile based on an immediate emotional response to a range of pictures that best portray their attitude to a variety of topics. These include art, music, food, holidays and love.

The results from these images are then used to create a profile of the person including their moods, habits and attitude to life which are then matched with people of similar interest across the site.

The site also uses the profile to suggest a list of places and activities that a user may find interesting.

Users who have a Myspace account can also add these profiles as widgets to their Myspace page. The profile can also be downloaded as a widget and pasted on a blog or Myspace profile.

In addition, the site also offers users a way to buy gifts for friends and relatives through using a similar set of pictures that most represents and their likes and dislikes. The results are then analysed to suggest a range of standard and unusual gifts.
