O2 offers broadband for less than a tenner

ISP's mobile customers offered cheap deal

O2 is offering an up to 20 Mbits/sec broadband service for less than £10 a month for customers of its mobile phone service.

According the internet service provider (ISP) there is no download limit but there is a fair usage policy and the service will cost £14.68 for non O2 mobile customers.
For people who are heavy downloaders, O2 has launched the Pro package that also offers up to 20 Mbits/sec.

This fixed or wireless service costs £17.13 per month for O2 mobile customers and £22.02 per month for non O2 mobile customers.

There are also no download limits for this service either. But O2 said it offers users an enhanced wireless router. This gives a stronger signal strength in the home, higher upload speeds of up to 2.5 Mbits/sec and the option of a static IP address. The router is based on the new 802.11n technology.

O2 said it will conduct a line check before and after a customer buys broadband to ensure that customers are certain about the speed their phone line can support.
