Service provides 'weather forecast' about dangerous websites and online scams
A cybercrime ‘weather forecast' is being launched today that will let internet users know about the latest threats.
The Norton Cybercrime Index is a free service that can be viewed online, on a mobile device or downloaded to a PC. It is also bundled with Norton 360 version 5.0.
Norton said the service will provide computer users with information about dangerous websites and search terms that may have been 'hijacked' by cybercriminals. It will also detail major online scams and identity theft threats.
The Index will also provide a daily threat level number and information on how to stay safe online.
