USB-to-HDMI adapter enables you to watch 1080p high-definition movies on a TV
A device that turns a USB port into an HDMI port is now available.
The USB-to-HDMI adapter, made by Lindy, plugs into a USB port on a computer and turns it into an HDMI port. This then lets users connect a PC or a Mac to a high-definition TV for resolutions of up to 1080p.
The adapter is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7 and also Mac OS 10.4.11 and above.
The adapter can be used for viewing HD movies stored on a PC or a Mac on a high-definition TV and can also be used extend or mirror a computer desktop on an additional screen.
No power cable is required and all the software needed is downloaded from the internet once the adapter is connected.
Priced at £100, the USB to HDMI adapter is available now from the Lindy website.
