Wifi and 3G models of Amazon's Kindle ebook reader now available
Amazon's Kindle ebook reader is now available from Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy stores across the UK.
Both retailers will sell the Kindle for the same price as Amazon. The Wifi version costs £111 and the 3G version is £152.
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy will offer the Wifi Kindle as an incentive with selected mobile phone handsets on 24-month contracts. The 3G version will be available for a one-off charge of £15 to both new and upgrading customers.
The Kindle has proven to be a big success for online retailer Amazon, with US sales of ebooks for the device outstripping paperback book sales last year.
The ebook reader will only be available to buy in-store, but Best Buy customers can reserve a Kindle online for collection.
