Disability charity looking to recognise organisations and individuals who use technology to help others
A new national awards scheme has been launched by disabled charity Abilitynet.
The UK Technology4Good awards recognise organisations and individuals who use computers and the internet to make the world better.
Abilitynet, which helps disabled people use computers and the internet, said there are eight awards including an accessibility award and IT Volunteer of the Year award. Entries have to be in by 9 May and a short list will be compiled the week beginning 16 May.
There will be three or four people nominated for each category; all of whom will be invited to the award presentation event.
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony on 7 June.
