Trust extends popular event to two-days over May bank holiday weekend
Bletchley Park is to hold a two-day World War II themed family event over the 29-30 May bank holiday weekend.
Along with World War II displays and re-enactments, there will be a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast, with a Lancaster, Spitfire and a Hurricane on the Sunday, weather permitting.
There will also be a London Bomb disposal display, as well as The Northern Forties re-enactment group with both RAF and Navy displays.
The Bletchley Park Trust's Forties Family Festival will also show the happier side of life during this period. These will include wartime film reels, fashion shows, concerts of classic songs from the 1940s and a troupe of Lindyhoppers demonstrating these amazing dance steps at the 1940's disco.
Visitors will also be able to try their hand at making a toy in the craft workshop and listen to talks from Bletchley Park volunteers; including the experiences of a child wartime evacuee.
People can also visit the museum and permanent exhibitions and private collections housed at Bletchley Park.
Family tickets for the event cost £26 for two adults and two children 12-16 years old. Other ticket prices can be found and ordered through Bletchley Park's website or bought on the day.
