Sony announces two new tablets, both running Android 3.0
The tablet computer market is set to get even more crowded, with Sony announcing its plans to launch two Android tablets.
The SI and S2 tablets, which should be available this autumn, will run the Android 3.0 operating system that has been specifically designed for tablets. Both tablets will work with Wifi as well as 3G and 4G internet.
The S1 has a 9.4in screen while the S2 has two 5.5 inch screens that fold into a clam-shell case. Both the S1 and the S2 will have access to the Playstation Network and Playstation Suite for downloading games, music and films. Sony is yet to announce the prices of the two tablets or full technical details.
