This year's Computex promises to be as busy as ever

Technology and computer companies from around Asia are preparing for the Computex Taipei - one of the biggest computer trade shows in the world.

Computex is held annually in Taipei, Taiwan, and is used by manufacturers to showcase their latest products. This year over 1,800 firms are expected to attend, occupying five halls spread all over the city.

This year's show opens on the 31 May and runs until the 4 June.

Computex is not open to the public. Instead it is attended by over 30,000 buyers representing shops and other technology firms, looking for parts to use or products to sell.

However Computeractive will have several reporters at the show this year, so to get all the latest news before anyone else keep an eye on our website during the first week of June.

Many of the products and technologies on show  this June will take months to make it to the UK high street, so it's an ideal chance to find out what UK shops will be offering customers at Christmas this year and into 2012.

We'll also be posting exclusive news and videos to the Computeractive Facebook page.
