PC Peripherals vows to continue warranty support after purchase of key assets
Mesh Computers has ceased trading after administrators sold the company's key assets to components distributor PC Peripherals.
Administrator Macintyre Hudson said PC Peripherals had promised to provide support to customers whose purchases are within warranty.
Owner of PC Peripherals Reza Jafari has not bought any of Mesh's liabilities so legally he is not bound to repair any PCs that turn out to be inherently faulty outside the warranty period.
The administrator has urged customers who have placed orders but not received goods to contact their credit card company to apply for a refund under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Refunds for credit card purchases may be available for purchases between £100 and £30,000.
Customers with outstanding orders who paid by debit card or other means should contact Macintyre Hudson to register as a creditor. On its website there is a Proof of Debt form that people can download and use for this purpose.
It is not known what, if any money people who have to file a claim with MacIntyre Hudson may receive. Mesh ceased trading on 31 May and the administrator was only appointed that day.
"People should file a claim but we have yet to examine the finances of the company so it is impossible to tell how much people may get," MacIntyre Hudson told us.
Mr Jafari said: "We are pleased to have completed this acquisition and see it as an excellent platform from which to develop our business.
"Mesh Computers' 25-year history of manufacturing in the UK is a solid foundation to build from and we are looking forward to investing and moving into our next phase of growth."
We have tried to contact Mr Jafari to get more details about warranties and plans for how he will take the Mesh brand forward.
However, the phone number for PC Peripherals is dead. Macintyre Hudson told us he was working at Mesh today so we have left a voicemail for him on Mesh's number and emailed him asking him to get in touch.
More to follow on this story soon.

after a month, dozens of emails and several lengthy phone calls it all makes sense. the way they are treating customers who have paid for their PCs and not received them yet is disgusting

Leaves a bad smell in the air
I Can imagine how the customers feel! If it is any consolation as an ex-employee we have also had the wool pulled over our eyes on this one with all wages left unpaid and only the government giving any little hope that redundancies may be met as we were all given notice the day before it went into administration and surprisingly was bought by a Mr Jafari who has worked at Mesh for years. All is not quite how it seems!!

Got My PC for Repairs
Mesh took my computer in for repairs under warranty 3 days before they went into administration. Since then, I can get no response from any of the multitude of different numbers. The new owner PC Peripherals, have a years old website and a non working phone number, and the Mesh Service centre phone number goes to a fax line. I've spent over 15 hours on hold trying to get hold of various people over the last fortnight, trying to get my work PC back. What a mess! I know they've said they'll honour warranties, but my experience doesn't support that statement. I'm a web designer, who's having to use a laptop while I wait for my Mesh PC back... am losing money every day and can't take on new business, so my business will soon be a victim of Mesh's collapse and slightly suspicious rebirth under a former employee. If anyone has any advice, it would be gratefully received. Rob

Unsuprising.
If ever an organisation deserved to go out of business, it was this one. The most appalling company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Still £450 out of pocket, hoping my credit card company will resolve this for me soon though.

Not Honouring Warranties
Raza's statement that they are honouring warranties is a complete lie. They are not honouring any warranties for parts. I bought a Gold Warranty with my PC in January this year, they are refusing to honour it because I need parts after the liquid coolant unit leaked everywhere (second time it's done this). It took me 10 weeks to get my machine fixed and returned, and it broke down again within 12 hours, that's how badly repaired it was. I would advise anyone considering purchasing a PC from this bunch of... well, I'd like to call them criminals, but I won't... to steer well clear of Mesh Computers. They've ripped me off for over £3,000 and have been completely unhelpful at every stage of my trying to get my PC fixed and returned. I now have a £3,100 black plastic brick that's no use to anyone in its' current state. Mesh won't repair it again unless I pay.

New owner om Mesh
PC Peripheral owner Reza Jafari who has apparently bought Mesh, has worked for Mesh since day 1. So they have basically got rid of their liabilities , and still trading but apparently with a new owner.
