Microstar International, or MSI, is one of Taiwan's biggest technology firms, so it's perhaps not surprising that it used Computex Taipei 2011 to unveil a huge range of new products.

One of the themes of this year's show has been Intel-based tablet computers, and MSI demonstrated its WindPad W120 design. Running Windows 7 it'll be available towards the end of the year. The company also showed AMD-based (W110W) and Tegra-powered (100A) models, all with 10-inch touchscreens.

Another separate range of tablets - the Enjoy 7 and Enjoy 10 - are based on the older Android 2.3 operating system, but are incredibly light - we expect these to cost less, with the 7-inch model probably coming in at under £200 when it arrives in UK shops.

The CX480 laptop has several clever features, including a built-in backup button. We tested this and found it was both quick and easy to use, although as it uses the main hard disk for storage it won't protect users against disk failure.

It also includes a quick-start system, a neat battery meter built into the case and a method for starting whenever the lid is opened. Expect it to cost under £500 toward the end of the year, with several colours avaialble.

Finally, we also looked at the new Wind Top all-in-one desktops. These now use 22-inch LED-backlit screens, giving more brightness and using less power, and again will be available towards the end of the year. Two models use Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors, with a third running on a new AMD Sabine chip.
