First Tablet PC from HP debuts later this month
HP has announced its Touchpad Tablet PC will go on sale 15 July.
The Touchpad is the company's first tablet PC and uses a proprietary operating system called WebOS, which is based on Linux.
HP said that this platform will offer some "exciting, exclusive content" from partners including The Guardian, LastFM, Warner Bros and Sky News. The company said it was also working with other partners and more applications for the platform will be available over the coming weeks.
The TouchPad will be available from HP's website and retailers such as PC World, Amazon, Argos, Comet and Carphone Warehouse. The 16GB Wifi version will cost £399 while the 32GB will cost £479.
