Computeractive has produced a short film to celebrate its 350th issue and subscriber club launch

For more than 13 years, Computeractive has been publishing a magazine every fortnight with the sole intention of making it easier for people to get the best possible use from their home computer. We're very proud and pleased to have reached 350 issues (and we've mad a short film to celebrate).

In that time we’ve come a long way, with the magazine now complemented by a website, a Computeractive internet forum and, more recently, a Facebook page and a Twitter feed – words that wouldn’t even have made sense when we launched in 1998.

We know from the letters and emails we receive that many of you reading this today have been with us on that journey for many years – with many thousands of you having been there from almost the very beginning.

We have been thinking for a while about new ways to reward subscribers for their loyalty – although keeping the price of the magazine as low as possible has always been our priority.

It’s astonishing to think that the price of a subscription did not rise by a single penny from our launch in 1998 until 2010, when the price of paper finally forced us to increase the price by a little.

No other magazine can claim to have given subscribers such value when the price of everything else was rising.

By creating a club for subscribers, we have been able to negotiate some great deals with a range of companies – and that means we can make them available to members. We have also set up different Club membership levels, so you can choose the one that’s right for you.

Already a subscriber?
We feel it is important that current subscribers are rewarded instantly – so if you are already a subscriber, the good news is you automatically become a Bronze member.

This means that, in addition to saving more than 40 per cent on the cover price of every issue that drops through your letterbox, you’ll also get an exclusive monthly newsletter by email and a password that grants you access to the Subscriber Club area of our website.

You won’t have to pay a single extra penny  – our Subscriber Club team will take care of everything. Our FAQ explains how to obtain your access to the Bronze level.

But if you would like to take advantage of the extra value that our Silver or Gold memberships offer, then upgrading couldn’t be easier.

Just call 0844 815 0054 and tell our membership team which level you wish to join.

Quote the code CA S 350A to move up to Silver, and CA G 350A to upgrade to the Gold membership.

We will refund the remaining balance on your old subscription within 28 days.

Gold and Silver benefits
Move up to Silver and you’ll receive exclusive software downloads, an extra collector’s edition of Computeractive that won’t be available to buy in the shops, as well as the chance to take part in exclusive competitions.

If you’re looking for a bargain then Silver members will receive a range of discounts from selected companies, and we will be on the lookout for more great deals to add in the future.

We will also discount selected goods from our Computeractive webstore at 15 per cent, rather then the 10 per cent for Bronze members.

Join the Gold membership level and you will get everything available to Silver members and more besides.

For our launch offer you will get a downloadable copy of Bitdefender Total Security, which provides an easily customisable interface, a full range of tools to protect your computer and everyone that uses it and some free online storage space.

What’s more, Gold members will receive a digital edition that can be read in a web browser, and a printed copy of our complete Jargon Buster, so you can refer to it at any time when you are away from the PC.

Also on offer to Gold members is a searchable archive of the past year’s worth of magazines, which you can view in a web browser.

And that’s just the beginning. We guarantee that no retailer or website will offer you Computeractive cheaper than we do direct – that means a saving of more than 40 per cent on every single issue, delivered, free of charge, to your door.

We will add new benefits to the Club on a regular basis and you’ll see details of these in the magazine and on the Get Computeractive website.

Subscriber Club benefits
1. The best value available for the magazine anywhere – our price for the magazine will never be beaten by any shop or website and you save more than 40 per cent on every copy received.

2. All subscribers get a password to access the Subscriber Club area of the Computeractive website, where you’ll find out how to access the benefits available for your membership level.

3. Bronze members get an exclusive newsletter each month with access to additional articles you won’t see in the magazine.

4. Silver members get all that too, plus software downloads, exclusive competitions and an annual collector’s edition.

5. Gold members receive it all, as well as a digital edition of the magazine with extra content, access to an online magazine archive, a free download of Bitdefender Total Security and a Jargon Buster book.

Subscriber Club

I've followed the instructions on the flyer about the club and have not received an email with instructions to set my password for access to the club. Just done it again and all the details are already on my account.

BUT HOW!

All very well but how do I log in to the club!
