Nokia launches Lumia 800 Windows smartphone

Nokia is bringing out its first smartphone using Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system (OS).

The Lumia 800 has an eight mega pixel camera, a 3.7 OLED display and 16 GB of memory. Apps include Nokia Maps and Microsoft Office Mobile. The device uses Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9 browser.

The People Hub allows people to group together access to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The phone is expected to go on sale in mid November but is available to pre order now with prices expected to be around £370 for a sim-free device
