People can view the inside of selected restaurants and shops
Google has extended its Street View project to the inside of shops and businesses.
The pilot project involves selected businesses, such as gyms or restaurants, which sign up to the scheme voluntarily. Photographers come to the premises and take 360-degree images using both fish-eye and wide-angle lenses.
Business can also upload their own photos. The programme is currently limited to premises in London, Paris and some cities in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the US. Participating companies can be found on Google Places.
