Users of social networking service can see popular trending topics
Google has added a new feature to its Google+ social networking service by listing the most popular topics on the site.
The Trends tool, which was added on Friday with little fanfare and no official announcement, displays the 10 most popular discussions taking place inside Google+.
It can also be tweaked by the users to show the most popular search terms from the entire Google+ community, specific circles of contacts or just the person's own search terms while on the service.
The new tool follows the recent introduction of Google+ Pages that allows companies to create profile pages so they can interact with users and other businesses on the site.
