Save Santa's presents

Deceptively simple game for Christmas

People can indulge in some festive frivolity with a free game that can be played online or using an iPhone

Called Festive Dash, the game involves controlling three characters at the same time; a penguin, a snowman and an elf who embark on a quest to save Christmas by collecting presents that fall from a hole in Santa's sleigh.

There are seven levels and to graduate to the next, players must get three gold stars by collecting all the presents, while avoiding all obstacles including wooden hurdles, holly bushes and rocks.

Both the iPhone app and web-based game have been developed by Bell Pottinger's specialist digital and social media team, which has been busy raising money for charities including the Richard House Children's Hospice.

The company is also making donations to ShelterBox, the international disaster relief charity, and The Calthorpe Project, a community garden and centre in the heart of Kings Cross.

David Wilson, Bell Pottinger's group managing director said: "Festive Dash is a fun game we've designed to thank clients and staff for giving us another wonderful year.

"Festive Dash replaces our Christmas cards, which quickly become obsolete, enabling us to both donate and raise money for good causes, and reduce our carbon footprint."

The game can be downloaded via iTunes or played online. The company has also set up Facebook and Twitter accounts where players can get updates on how people are doing.
