Football news and stats site links with IE 9 browser for added functionality
Microsoft has signed a deal with ESPNsoccernet.com so fans of the football site can make better use of features in the software giant's latest browser, IE9.
The website which provides football news, statistics and scores, allows people to pick their best Barclays Premier League XI of the season. They can then share their selection with other fans through social media, sparking debates such as whether Van Persie has been the Premier league's best striker of 2011 or if Vincent Kompany has made the difference for Manchester City.
The website takes advantage of the JumpList and Pinning functionality in Internet Explorer 9 and Windows 7. People that ‘Pin' the ESPN favicon to their taskbar, and get instant, one-click access to the news, scores and video sections of ESPNsoccernet.com.
Additionally, the new integration will allow people to create an ESPNsoccernet.com JumpList specific to their Barclays Premier League club.
